Devs communication in case of problems

Here is very nice example of great devs communication in case of problems: https://www.epicgames.com/fortnite/en-US/news/postmortem-of-service-outage-at-3-4m-ccu

For WildStar (especially PvP-wise) it's probably too late, but we all know that Carbine is working on a new game (let's hope that at least as good as WildStar) so maybe they can learn something from people that know how to do it

Edit: This should apply also to game design/mechanics/content problems, not only technical problems as in the linked example. The community can sometimes help a lot, with a different point of view that devs may not always be aware of.

Edit 2: To clarify why it's so important, Players will usually stick to the games that they already invested some time/money in, even if those games have some serious problems. But only if they know that devs are aware of those problems and have a plan to fix it. But if it looks like devs are ignoring serious problems, the longer those problems persist the faster players will start switching to other games.

Edit 3: And it's not even a lot of work to do something like that because all the data and internal report/analysis and solution proposals should be done anyway. You just need someone to do copy-paste with things that can be publicly shared and add some "end-user friendly" short comment to it.

Final Edit: Stay tuned for the next part. In next few days, I will add a story from the other side: where a lack of proper devs communication with the community and not understanding the needs of players ruined the game with almost guaranteed success.

"we're not closing the game down, but we're not making new stuff either.  you get the same events as last year.  pretend to be happy."
