  1. The game has potential, this is why it fails

This how bad people miss slow paced, challenging game. https://ibb.co/caDZa0 Common view in game. 8-12k population while normally private servers have about 0.5-2k No doubt they are going to relase retail vanilla.
  2. The game has potential, this is why it fails

Bring old difficulty back, so I can give a try to this game. So may other players. There are enough easy games out there.. all of them are easy. Stand out!
  3. The game has potential, this is why it fails

Challenge is what you naturally expect when log in into new game. That's purpose of gaming. Failing to find it you may leave the game before you get to the level where it's available. Sometimes story may hook you up or other things but it may be not enough to gather solid player base.
  4. The game has potential, this is why it fails

Falling under pressure is when games go down. Developers trade in their vision of the game for the peace of mind. Furthermore, it's in players nature that they want things easy, just like kids do, however they don't realize they will suffer from the change. Ask player if he wants millions of game currency and they will take it, unaware that nothing will give them fun from now on because reward came too easy or without any effort at all. Sometimes by giving things you can actually hurt person. Developers should keep their backbone and maintain their vision instead of random player group. To clarify this there always will be discontent part of players whining about things, but it's only small part of community and the fact that there is no feedback from the other part means they are fine with current state of things. When things were difficult there were complaining players.. but they were still here. Now that things are easy where do you think they went ? And what new players are supposed to tune in ? Mistake
  5. I played games all my life since they started appearing on computers. At that time rarely someone owned a computer. Right now everybody has it and there are more and more games, however less and less are good. Why ? Simple math: challenge=satisfaction. Game easy=boring. Game too hard=frustration. It seems no game these days can find balance. Actually what most games suffer from is too easy difficulty. Same here. I just made account in hope of finding interesting, challenging game. What I found is no challenge at all. Why characters have health and shields if we don't need to manage it, I lose no any health even when fighting 3 monsters. No tactics required, it's enough to stand and press one button. Is it supposed to be attractive questing ? It's boring I'll never survive to end game content even if it gets harder there. And I think most people don't. Nowadays this kind of difficulty (probably made for kids) is a disease. It's hard to find playable satisfying game you enjoy, everything is so easy, pointless. Definition of a game is it supposed to offer challenge, when you overcome it you become glad and that hooks you into the game. Wildstar is missing that. This fact is also the reason many younger people actually are not aware there may be challenging games and don't see the reason why they are not attracted. Theme is great, sci-fi exploring new planet thing. But gameplay is just "faceroll". And questing is major part of any game. Is it hard to make it enjoyable ? Recently I've seen private vanilla server of a game that was hard at the beginning and population there was higher than retail. People prefer old undeveloped games just for the sake of difficulty. The company figured out the thing and are opening vanilla servers again. You should learn from them, they are first to do it. They are always the first. You probably already know who I'm talking about. What do you think people miss ? Less features ? Less content ? Less abilities ? No, they miss thrill when you accidentally pull 3 monsters and die, reason to group other people, danger, actual need for better items and consumables, etc. The point.
