Medics,

 

I wanted to drop by and give a quick update on Medic changes that will be coming in the future. Some of these will be in for Patch 2 and some of them will be coming in soon after Patch 2 drops.

 

DPS

 

  • Gamma Rays
    • Range will be increase to 20m from 17.5
    • Target count will be increased to 3 from 1
    • The T4 will reduce GR’s cast time by .5 seconds each cast and will reset after every 3 casts (1.25 seconds, .75 seconds, .25 seconds)
    • The T8 will be updated so that having 1 or 2 beams miss or be deflected will still grant a chance to generate an Actuator
  • Quantum Cascade
    • The size of the second tick will be increased by 25% and the third/fourth ticks by 50%.
  • Atomize
    • This will become castable while casting other spells and will have a 100% chance to generate an Acuator.

 

Healer

 

  • Reboot AMP
    • This will be modified to trigger on targets below 30% Shield rather than with zero shield.
  • Dual Shock
    • Like Atomize this will also become castable while casting.

 

AoE Healing and Interrupt Armor

 

Specific portions of the Medic’s AoE healing kit are currently over-turned and will be adjusted. Additionally, the durations of Interrupt Armor are going to be reduced across the board and the Medic will start to see these changes first.

No, but seriously, really nice change to Reboot AMP, cant say much about the dps change as I haven't played dps medic because it's been crap, but I can imagine that they are good.

Oh. Wow.

I make those changes out to be about a 20% damage increase on single targets.

And RIP QC in PVE I guess?

I'm very glad to hear from Merkal.... but I hope very much that these are a slice of the pie for drop 2. We will still be utter trash in anything but PuG bgs (because our single t8 D.Probes gimmick). QC's size isn't its issue, it is easy to land. It just doesn't do the damage needed. GR still won't be usable in pvp without a telegraph adjustment.

 

I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth... or not trying to... but I really hope there is more to come sooner than later. Changes announced look really good, though... maybe take the size increase away from QC and give it increasing damage per tick instead!

 

I'm going to assume the bigger mechanics changes addressing making other assault abilities more useful than Spender-Spam will be coming later.

Well, here is the proposed ST damage increase that he promised us after the GR bug fix...so, pretty good timing...again...don't lose faith...remember he has 2 classes to to work on unlike others.

 

Glad they increased the melee range for us  ;)

I predict July 22 and 29 to see changes...one can only hope thursday to see the dps ones ;)

I don't know...I think we should be happy to see some baby steps and see what the size increase does first the adjust from there.  I think this is the size it was in beta, not sure, i need to recheck old notes.

 

QC damage is fine imo, maybe this is the next thing we cry more about...this or the IA, which seems to be addressed soon...

OMG you got me excited as a little child before Christmas.... Thank you!

 

I just wish to see DC delay fixed and maybe cast time reduced.... It feels really sluggish right now. If we get some changes to fields and AMPs as well (soon) that will be great :)
