Naga refering to the MMORPG mice, the Razer naga series, and Logitech G600.
I'm currently working on creating different keymaps and set ups for players to learn.
I'll be working on the Naga HEX and with some help the Corsair Vengeance M95
Edit: I will not be supporting the M95 mice See notation below.
What are MMORPG mice?
MMORPG mice are mice designed around having multiple thumb buttons to advance a players versatility and quality of life in game.
MMORPG mice are designed this way to remove the issues that people have with trying to Hotkey, Strafing, and re-positioning during combat in highly mobile MMOs
MMO mice allow the user to split up the keys between both hands and great an easier way of executing their in game actions.
The mice that will be focused on in this thread are the Naga 12 button(Molten, Epic, 2012 and 2014), Logitech G600, and the Corsair Vengeance M95 mice.
M95 Notation: Unfortunately this mouse is very poorly designed. It's body shape is designed well, but the keypad ergonomics and the mouse's actual software and hardware behavior is completely out of whack.
This mouse may be good for someone who wants a simple expansion for general games, but it would be a poor choice of mouse of WildStar considering the way that WildStar plays.
The Naga HEX basic mapping added below.
The mice will be refered to as "Naga" (plural and singular) for the sake of simplifying and generalizing the subset of mice. However, please note that the M95 has a different keypad but will be utilized in a similar way.
Mice to avoid
RAT 7 MMO.
I feel the need to point this out because there is a "mmo" mouse out there that proclaims to be an MMO grade mouse but really offers nothing, in my opinion, of use.
Do not get this mouse, opinions aside, these mice are plagued with issues including their sensors and firmware. Their dynamic polling and acceleration issues are built in and create nothing but a mess for a user to learn to compensate for.
It's nothing but a gimmicky piece of junk. There are better mice out there.
Avoid MadCatz "rat" series mice.
Importance of Setting up correctly
First things first before getting into keymaps and trying to set things up and adjusting for your play style, lets get your mouse to the correct settings with in windows to make sure you're able to aim and move correctly with the mouse and eliminate issues.
First you need to check your cursor setting in Windows
Follow this path in Windows(Vista,Win7,Win8???)
Start-->Control Panel-->Hardware and Sound-->Mouse
Or you can Start-->Control Panel and just search for "mouse" in the explorer search
Go to the Pointer Options tab
The Motion section will have a slider with the text "Select a pointer speed"
Set this to 6/11.
Why? This sets the mouse to a 1:1 ratio within windows, lower and higher settings changethe ratio at which the mouse is being interpreted within windows.
setting it 6/11 will provide a 1:1 imput.
Then uncheck the box that says "Enhance pointer precision."
Turning this off turns off Windows native mouse acceleration.

After this is complete, install your mouse's software, and restart your PC.(Then come back to this thread)
If you've already installed it's software then don't worry about it.
Open the software and make sure your mouse is set to 1000hz polling rate. This puts the mouse at a 1ms latency, which is about as low as you can get it.
Check within your mouse's software to make sure it has disabled acceleration
If you don't know how to use the mouse software yet, then take some time to get familiar with it
Once this is all completed you can move on to the infrographics
Naga keybind Infographics
Rather than trying to explain how things should be set up, I decided to create info graphics instead because visual examples are easier to understand. However if you have questions please ask.
I currently only have infographics for the Naga/G600, as both will utilize the same keybinds.
Please note: These are basic keymaps, and unmapped keys in the infographics are free for you to customize and choose where you'd like them to be. The mapped active keys are suggestions for efficient usage, but can be changed to suit your own needs.

Naga HEX - 6 Mechanical Side buttons, Naga Movement (HEX Adapted) Work In Progress.

Defining the usage of Naga Movement keymapping.
"Won't it affect my Aim?"
More than likely, not at all.
The buttons on the naga, and G600, and M95 aren't easy to accidentally press but are also easy enough to press that they wont cause issues with aiming unless you have poor control of your mouse.
The Naga hex however has some rather easy to press buttons and will have a lesser possibility of being an issue with aiming if you are concerned with the issue.
The Utilization of the keypad for Omnidirectional positioning
The main purpose, as explained in the first infograph, of utilizing naga movement is to allow a player to use their left hand to hotkey freely and centralize positioning and direction to the right hand.
Biologically speaking this separates the commands in the brain and creates less confusion and more natural registration of behaviors.
Omnidirectional or 8 directional positioning with the naga is very useful skill to learn and will easily enhance your quality of life in game.
the QWEASD/TYUGHJ mirror allows to utilize full 8 direction movement.
with the keys bound in the 2x3 array you can hold MB2 and can press single or multiple buttons strafe move and reposition
For example
if
naga keys
123
456
=
TYU
GHJ
Then you can press the naga
4+5 and stafe back to the left, 5+6 strafe back to the right
1+2 Strafe forward to the left, 2+3 strafe forward to the right
ect ect
all 8 full directions of movement in an standard WASDQE based mmo.
It allows omni direction positioning while in combat.

There is an alternative to that, depending on how you want utilize the keys
if
naga keys
123
456
=
TYU
JJJ(CloseKeys)
or
QWE
SSS(Traditional)
Which allows similar 8 direction positioning behavior with these key presses
1+4 Strafe back left, 3+6 strafe backright
1+2 Strafe forward left, 2+3 strafe forward right
Then ofc
2 forward
5 back
1 Strafe left
3 Strafe right

Demonstration
Here's a keyboard and mouse POV video roughly showcasing how Naga Movement keybinds work.
Naga Movement Demonstration with Naga Epic and WildStar Video updated!
I apologize for the music but I forgot to turn off the music when recording so i had to edit the audio and place the song over it so the video sound didn't sound horrible. Also the button mashing is called "APM" it's an old habit from playing MOBA and StarCraft2, it's something worthwhile to learn.
