Ongoing DDoS Service Impact

Hello all,

 

We’re aware of ongoing distributed denial of service attacks directed at our games and are working to mitigate them. If you’ve been experiencing connection drops or sporadic high latency, please know that we’re closely watching the situation and reducing game service impact as much as possible. We'll be posting updates on the @WildStarOps account on this and any other service impacting issues.

 

If you’re experiencing connection or latency issues which you believe to be outside of these attacks, we ask that you please submit a support ticket so we can collect additional information.

 

We appreciate your understanding and patience.

Hey Sunshine,

Thanks for the update. While the situation is still ongoing and It's still early (only Tuesday), as of last night things have been less disruptive compared to last week, which is really nice. Kindly pass along our thanks to the whole team!

Don't know if this helps or not but our raid determined that the impact was being felt exactly every 20 minutes. We actually held off on certain pulls just to wait for the lag to hit.

No problem! We're engaging our own tactics to help mitigate the impact of the DDoS, so you should be seeing a decrease in disruption. I'll pass along the thanks!

It does help! And yes, we were seeing the pattern as well. Sounds like you found a workaround and we're happy to hear that.
