EDIT: *NEVERMIND, NOT EVEN 20 MINUTES LATER. APPARENTLY I SHOULD BE *cupcake*ING WORRIED.*
Let me start this off by saying this is in no way meant to directly attack the developers at Carbine. From all that i've seen in regards to PR, you guys seem to be doing everything that the big boys upstairs will let you. This is more directed at those people, as i don't think any of you currently working on this game enjoy seeing it fight for survival.
This is coming from someone who's sunk 1300 hours of playtime into this game since the F2P launch, not just some trolling little chav screaming about doomsday. I've spent a great deal of my time on this game and would like to think i have it's best interests in my heart.
After TimeTravel left, we all get very worried. He was a huge part of the team to us as a community, and was a huge supporter who reached out and seemed to genuinely want to make a difference to the players of the game, in more than just a content driven way. He was always the first one in raid progression threads saying congrats, reassuring is when he saw we needed it, and ACTUALLY logging onto the game and playing. Since then, i have not heard a single *cupcake* word from ANY of you. I understand that legally you are not allowed to discuss the reasoning for his departure, but you could at least show the man some bloody respect and acknowledge that he ever existed, and honor all he did for the game and the community of it in his time there.
Now, CRB_Hotspur has left, as of 30 minutes ago via his twitter. Seeing as we've heard nothing about TT as of yet, i'm assuming we'll hear nothing of him either. Let me tell you, this is an unimaginably colossal mistake. An inexcusable way to handle employee loss, especially when it pertains to a game with such a grim outlook of survival.
I LOVE this game to death, it is by far the best game I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing, but for the love of god please talk to us. When you say nothing, and act like these core parts of your team never existed, it is inexcusable. Whether or not the big men upstairs said no, we deserve to know. We NEED to. Even if it's nothing official, we need some reassurance that this ship isn't sinking and that everyone that's smart is jumping off before it does. Please, come forward with some sort of update on the state of the company, and the viability of this game. Be honest with us, and understand that failure in doing that will only result in a lot of people panicking, conspiring, and will make a much worse situation than it would to simply give us the straight facts and be honest with us.
I can understand that a lot of you at CRB have a family to feed and a life to live, and job security is a big enough deal to just pretend it isn't as big an issue as it is. But you need to think about the thousands of people pouring their time, like i have, into this game. How are we supposed to remain enthusiastic and hopeful that this game will still be operating a year from now, when all we see is employees leaving and content being reused, pushed back, excuses made and bullshit monotone PR responses time and time again to critical questions that we as a community are begging to be answered. I watched the livestream yesterday, I could see that you were just as unhappy as the lot of us were that you had to reveal reused and reskinned content for an event that you so passionately enjoy, but simply don't have the resources allotted to you to provide us with new things in those regards.
Please make an effort. We need to know that our time is safely spent here. Talk to us. Sit down as a team, and discuss how you can be real with us. Because trust me, sitting down and telling us "Things are bad. We are doing our best, but we will not deny that things are bad" Would cause a lot less panic than hearing nothing at all. You have seen how positively we've reacted EVERY SINGLE TIME you've reached out to us, WITHOUT fail. And you have seen the shitstorm that arises when you say nothing at all. Please make the right choice, and be real with us. I cannot in good conscience anymore spend money on a game that i am worried will be dead in a year, and i cannot be alone in that boat.
Thank you for your time, sorry for the wall of text.
