Today's was a very substantial Nexus Report, and features Jen Gordy, Group Content Lead.  As group content has been a major issue for the vocal playerbase, it's going to be important.  They gave out 8 Gamescon codes, 4 at the beginning and 4 at the end.

Spoiler

-Frost's "adorable" face looks like the mad scientist from Nightmare Before Christmas.  Tony is projecting his insecurities on the camera choice.

-They recapped the megaserver merger upcoming.  Check last week's TL;DR for that if you missed it somehow. (Tony let slip that it would be a few weeks when Cougar would be on, then corrected himself that it would be whenever it is done; it's extremely, extremely unofficial, but it seems like it's coming sooner rather than later)

-Nathan Winget (WingIt) is doing a charity drive.  Every five dollars donated enters you a ticket in a raffle to win a custom piece of his artwork.  The link was in the chat, but if someone has the link to his site, please post it.

-Frost has logged into Wildstar since Tony wants to keep him occupied.  He was grinding Northern Wastes dailies for rep on Avatus.  His character name is Moordesh.

-Jen Gordy is now on the stream.  They kept her mic down because THE MEN CAN'T HANDLE THE VIEWS OF A STRONG, INDEPENDENT WOMAN!  Though, seriously, I think all three are wearing the same glasses.  California....

-Tony is completely intimidated segueing into her updates.  I think we're all impressed by Jen's updates a little.

-Some patches are coming in this week.  BIG NEWS!  Medal requirement is this week being patched down to bronze from silver.  It's this week.  Also, she mentioned the attunement reset bug was fixed.

-Sometimes during the next drop, players who completed attunement the hard way would get a title or achievement, something that will be obvious so they can show off.

-Primal pattern requirements are dropping from 300 to 100 for Datascape attunement.

-Upon acceptance of the world boss step, all bosses killed so far will count towards the step retroactively.  RETROACTIVE COMPLETION!  All world bosses associated with the step will now have an achievement, they will track completion via that achievement.  If you have killed a boss without an achievement, you will need to rekill the boss (the only downside, it's how they have to track it).  All other world boss progress will be saved as normal.

-Ohmna drops one Pristine Genesis Key per kill, and this key will automatically attune someone up to Datascape (so they can walk into GA).  This is to get more people into Datascape.

-They also fixed a mech suit bug for the attunement step.

-Lots of World Boss fixes are now dropping in, as well as some changes to Hellrose Bowl.

-All this I've just said drops this week.

-Tony is failing to flirt with Jen.  Frost is being a more typical nerd and couldn't care less.  His flag is on and people are now trying to kill him.

-Jen does not handle Shiphands.  However, they are working on more types of casual, repeatable content, including shiphands (and vet shiphands).  Frost reminds everyone that they are not neglecting the bigger PVE elements, but they are working on some more casual stuff to address player concerns at the lack of it.

-Collection quests are being updated so they all share their collectable loot objectives.  This may take some time to fix across the board.

-Right now, they are only working on 20 man raids at the moment since the 40 isn't completed yet.  They have designed the "boss in a box" (i.e. bosses in instance areas, but not as much around them).  She also accidentally calls the mobs around them trash, and is lambasted, because nothing can be trash.

-They are working on some dungeons as well, including the Protogames 5 man that is meant to acclimate you to 5 man content.  They are working on two 20 man raids.

-They are now talking to everyone to spread people out through the content, whether putting in a call to arms for Daggerstone Pass et al or rewarding players for hitting "random" rather than specific instances.

-The hardest part of desiging group content, according to Jen, is how hard it is to get bosses and areas tuned.  Walatiki temple was apparently shrunk at one point because it was too big.

-Frost is now playing with a posse of Exiles.

-Jen also said they will be expanding solo content and that she appreciates people's input (she apparently doesn't read the forums).  She doesn't want the game to be too constraining, and wants to have broader ways to play.  She bases this on our feedback.  WE ARE IMPORTANT!

-Frost gets yelled at by a player for his crap warrior skills.  Doesn't matter who you are, some leet asshat will tell you ur doin it rong.

-They are working on some changes to Warplots and gameplay changes for a future drop.  Jen doesn't like how sparse they are and the abilities to queue for it.  She will get into it on the forums when she gets all her stuff approved.  Some of it may be size related, reducing from 40 to 30 or even less.

-They are retuning vet adventures to work as a tier before vet dungeons, and the level 10 dungeon should bridge the gap for people who don't know WTF they're doing.  Tony admits he has no idea how to play the game and will need the dungeon to learn mechanics.

-The Pristine Key will be tradable, but will be single use for one character.

-Timetravel gave Jen an update.  There are 7 40 man groups who have killed 3 of the 9 bosses in DS.  There are about 120-150 different GA groups each week.  Jen gets reports on this.  Tony cannot even fly in an instance.  He needs to think happier thoughts.

-The Dominion is now showing up to kill Frost.  Repeatedly.

-Jen is looking at making sure public events and world PVP are more pronounced in future zones and optional dailies in those areas.  I may have written about this, if they're looking for ideas... maybe...?  They are not yet talking about purely PVP areas.

-I'm sideseat driving now watching Frost.  LOOK BEHIND YOU *cupcake*!

-They are looking at making sure all paths through adventures are viable so that people aren't all doing the exact same thing over and over.  This is a major focus of the next drop for the group content team.  A few examples (they look for our feedback for these) the final boss of Riot in the Void is improved, channelers are a lot less brutal on melee, and Professor Goldbow's beams will be a bit more logical.  War of the Wilds is seeing a lot of NPC improvements and are giving good reasons to kill the bosses.  Malgrave trail's resource game will be made harder so people spread out.  There are also a MASSIVE amount of bug fixes incoming.

-Jen likes her bug fixes in big groups.  Frost is distracted and being stalked by a Stalker, and later is literally being stalked and ganked by a full party of Dominion.  He dives into a one-on-five fight like a real man.  Tony brags about killing Frost with bunch of the servers healers.  Apparently, Tony doesn't want a piece of Jen.  I get the impression she's good at this game.

-There will be more solo content released, but Jen doesn't handle it.  No idea why she's getting so many questions about soloing.

-Right now, all she knows the old-school attuners will get are titles, but they are still discussing it.

-It's apparently easier to balance battlegrounds than open world content for PVP.

-Frost has resorted to chemical warfare against Tony.

-Jen recommends new players at 50 just starting in instances should queue for regulars first.  She actually plays the game at different levels and has both pretended to be a newb and has helped newbs to monitor community toxicity.  She likes and is impressed by the community in all areas except for medal achievement droppers.

-They are using less faction war in the newest group content just by coincidence, but they think they did it effectively in Daggerstone Pass.  It may happen later, but she hears less feedback about that at the moment and she really values our feedback.

-She thinks Wildstar's mechanics are great and set Wildstar above other MMORPGs out there.  They are also prototyping new ideas in adventures.

-She is not considering server-wide events like AQ just yet, but their next attunement process will be much less involved.  She doesn't like time gates.  When they add new adventures and dungeon types, they are not planning on also counting those towards attunement, so you won't have more medals to get to attune later.

-There is some discussion about new content for paths, and they're thinking about ways to blend those into group content.  However, they don't want to make paths a reason to not be accepted to a raid or dungeon.

-Tony would like to know the best memory we have of Nexus Report.  Frost is getting yelled at for staying in-game to help his healer during PVP.  He doesn't abandon his comrades in the heat of battle, TONY!  Eventually, he logs out so he can give Tony his artwork title sequence.

-Jen will totally be a test subject for science.  WS Law's artwork submission looks a lot like old Shadowrun artwork.  I love it!  There's also a house that's been made to look like it was built on an asteroid by Mauser.  It's impressive.

-Tony tries to buy Jen's love with his Gamescon codes.  He says Hot Pepper Gaming was the best remembered moment.  Having been in the stream, I can definitively say that most people said it was him being shot in the throat by Non on the first Nexus Report I TL;DRed.  Tony finally admits it.  His feelings are hurt because we enjoy the suffering of the dev team.  Frost should work in radio.

That's it.  We're done.  No, I'm not bitter about not getting a Gamescon code.  Not at all.  Maybe you're bitter.  DID YOU THINK ABOUT THAT?!  MAYBE I DON'T WANT A GAMESCON CODE!  WHY DON'T YOU PEOPLE LEAVE IT BE!?!?!?!?!

I need a pop tart.

Much love for the write up.

I've gotta give a puzzled look at the following however:

Malgrave trail's resource game will be made harder so people spread out.

Making the giant escort quest adventure that no one want's to do even more tedious? Sounds super effective.

Have people started mass spamming Malgrave silvers using the path that sacrifices 10 of the caravan members or something? Cos people hate that place so much in my guild, I'd basically have to pay them to go there.

I'm guessing it's the easiest way.  Carbine have the metrics at their disposal to know who takes what path, and in the broad strokes, it seems like they want to make sure we experiment and try everything instead of spam running the "optimal" path.

VicVanMeter should startup his own Wildstar news site just for the nexus report summaries... LOVE reading them :)

Thanks bunches!

Could be something like "riftgrate.com" does for Rift. I haven't found a site like this for Wildstar yet?

WTF? People already want to avoid Malgrave Trail because it's a giant pain in the dick. I don't understand the reasoning for this decision.

EDIT: I meant to only quote the Malgrave bit.
